FAQ

General

What is Sprootal?

Sprootal is an AI-powered LinkedIn outreach platform. It automates personalized LinkedIn messaging, manages leads through a pipeline, and uses AI to help you write, analyze and optimize your conversations at scale.

What is the difference between a Workspace and a Project?

A Workspace is the top-level container for your entire account — it holds all your projects, team members and connected LinkedIn accounts. A Project is a focused space for one client, campaign or outreach direction, with its own pipeline, contacts, tags, snippets and AI context.

How many LinkedIn accounts can I connect?

Depends on your plan: Light — 1 account, Scale — up to 3, Max — up to 5. The current slot count is shown at the top of the Senders section (e.g. 6/25 slots used).

How does the free trial work?

After registration you get 7 days of full access to all features. After the trial ends, your account is frozen but no data is lost. A manager can manually extend the trial after a demo call.

Do AI credits expire?

No. Credits you purchase are one-time and never expire. Plan credits (included in your subscription) reset monthly at the start of each billing period.

Inbox

How do I switch between LinkedIn accounts in Inbox?

Account avatars are shown at the top of the Inbox panel. Click an avatar to see only that account's conversations. Click All to return to the full view.

How do I find archived conversations?

Click 🔽 Filter → in the VIEW section select Archived.

How do I snooze a conversation?

Click the 🕐 (Snooze) icon in the chat header. The conversation disappears from Inbox and reappears in VIEW → Snoozed at the specified time.

Are message drafts saved automatically?

Yes. The platform saves drafts automatically — the "Draft saved" label appears in the message input field.

How do I use AI to write a reply?

Click the ✏️ icon in the message input → describe what you want to say → click Generate. Use Refine to adjust tone: shorter, longer, formal, or informal. AI quality depends on the context filled in Project Settings → Context → Services.

How do I change a lead's stage from Inbox?

Two ways: 1) Click the No stage dropdown in the chat header. 2) Open the contact panel → Overview tab → Stage dropdown.

Senders

Which connection method is better — Credentials or Cookies?

Credentials is recommended — simpler and more reliable. Cookies is used when the account has two-factor authentication or when login via password is unavailable.

Where do I find the li_at cookie value?

Open LinkedIn in your browser → DevTools (F12) → Application tab → Cookies → https://www.linkedin.com → copy the li_at value.

What should I do if an account shows a yellow indicator?

Click the account → ManageCheck Status. If the issue persists, try reconnecting: Delete Account and add it again.

What happens when an account reaches its daily limit?

Automations for that account pause until the next day when limits reset. Enable Alerts at 80% to be notified in advance.

Lead Extractor

How many leads can I collect from one post?

Depends on post engagement. The platform collects everyone who reacted or commented. Large viral posts can yield several hundred contacts.

Can I collect leads from multiple posts at once?

Yes. On the URL step, click + Add another URL and add all the links you need. Duplicates across sources are removed automatically.

Where do collected contacts go after extraction?

To the list specified in the Import to List field during the Settings step. That list can then be added to a sequence as a lead source.

Automations

Can I run the same contact in multiple automations?

Yes. A contact can be enrolled in multiple automations simultaneously.

What happens if a contact replies during an automation?

The automation detects the reply. Depending on your Condition blocks, it can stop, continue or branch to a different path.

How do I pause an automation without stopping it completely?

Open the automation → click the Pause button. The automation stops sending but retains all enrolled contacts. Click Resume to continue.

Tasks

Can I create a task without linking it to a contact?

No. Every task must be linked to a contact — the Contact field is required.

How do I view only my tasks?

In the filter panel, select Assignee → My Tasks.

What is the difference between General, Reply and Follow Up categories?

General — any free-form task. Reply — reminder to respond to a lead's message. Follow Up — reminder to reach out again after a pause.

Project Settings

What is the difference between Library and Snippets?

Library — context base (who your lead is, which script to use). AI uses this when generating automations via Generate. Snippets — ready-made message templates that team members use manually (via /) when replying in chat.

Can I use Custom Fields in automation messages?

Yes. Use {{custom.field_key}} in the message text. For example, if the field key is painpoint1, the variable is {{custom.painpoint1}}.

How do I hide conversations not assigned to lists?

Go to Project Settings → Access tab → enable the Hide private conversations toggle. After this, only contacts added to at least one list will appear in Inbox, Pipeline and Contacts.

API & Webhooks

How many API keys can I create?

There is no limit. It's recommended to create a separate key for each integration for easier access management.

What is the difference between Live and Test API keys?

Test keys are for development — they work with the same data but let you safely test integrations. Live keys are for production use.

How do I verify that a webhook is working?

Click ⋯ next to the webhook → Test Webhook — the system sends a test payload to your endpoint. Or go to View Deliveries to see the full call history with statuses.

How do I connect webhooks to Zapier or Make?

Create a new Zap/scenario → select Webhooks as the trigger → copy the URL → paste it as the Endpoint URL when creating a webhook in Sprootal.
